Policies aim to tackle social care crisis and provide equal funding for education

Boris Johnson will set out a host of domestic policies in his first moments as Prime Minister.

He will use his first speech outside Number 10 to outlined a several key policy areas he plans to take action on.

The move aims to neutralise key policy areas for the Conservatives ahead of an increasingly inevitable general election in the autumn.

His policies are set to include:

  • A social care white paper, establishing a new state-backed insurance scheme for workers over 40
  • A new formula and funding to end regional disparities for schools and provide at least £5,000 per pupil
