Theresa May will formally resign as Prime Minister on Wednesday
Boris Johnson is the new leader of the Conservative Party. He is set to be invited by the Queen to form a government tomorrow after Theresa May’s resignation.
Johnson, former Mayor of London and foreign secretary, has pledged to take the UK out of the EU by the 31st October deadline.
He beat the current foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt in a 6-week contest. 138,809 Tory members voted in the contest.
