Four MEPs say the only way to deliver Brexit is to vote Conservative in the general election.

Four Brexit Party MEPs have today defected to the Conservatives and urged their voters to support Boris Johnson in the general election.

MEPs Lucy Harris, Annunziata Ress-Mogg and Lance Forman quit the party on Thursday morning. John Longworth had the Brexit Party whip removed on Wednesday.

In a Twitter message, the MEPs say: “If you want to ensure Brexit gets delivered you must now vote for Boris Johnson’s Conservatives and not the Brexit Party.”

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has said he is “disappointed” by the announcement.

The Brexit Party is standing 275 candidates on 12 December. Nigel Farage announced before the campaign started that he would stand Brexit Party candidates aside in seats the Conservatives won in 2017.
