94-year-old veteran told BBC News he was worried by Brexit

A D-Day veteran, interviewed by the BBC at the National Commemoration event to mark 75 years since the operation, has said Brexit worries him. Eric Chardin was 19-years-old when he landed in Normandy as part of Operation Neptune. The veteran said:
"Brexit worries me. I can’t help feeling it would be an awful shame that we’ve gone to so much trouble to collect the European nations together, to break it up now would be a crying shame I feel."
