Labour manifesto for EU elections due to be agreed on Tuesday

The Labour Party’s international policy commission has unanimously called for a confirmatory referendum on any Brexit deal to be included in its manifesto for the EU elections.

Labour plans to contest the elections, due to take place on 23rd May if a withdrawal agreement has not been approved before then.

The international policy commission is one of several commissions made up of Labour MPs, MEPs, constituency representatives and trade unionists. They feed into the party’s policy making process.

Labour’s National Executive Committee is due to meet on Tuesday to decide on the contents of the party’s manifesto for the EU elections.
