Almost two-thirds would prefer tax rises to boost UK finances.
A new poll by Number Cruncher Politics has found that most Brits would prefer tax rises over spending cuts to plug the hole in the UK’s finances after Covid-19.
Surveying 1,000 adults, 59% said they would prefer higher taxes. Only 16% opted for reduced spending. Notably, the results were similar across demographics and parties.
