Schools will not reopen after February half term.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that schools in England will not reopen to all pupils after the February half term and will remain closed until at least Monday 8th March.
The government has committed to giving parents at least two weeks’ notice of schools reopening.
The Prime Minister’s aim of 8th March is three weeks after everyone in the four most vulnerable groups will have received a first vaccine dose, if current targets are met.
The Prime Minister said the government will continue to provide free school meals over February half term.
