The advice currently applies to those deemed "extremely vulnerable".

The Health Service Journal is reporting that shielding advice to high risk individuals during the coronavirus pandemic is to end in July.

Over two million people with underlying health issues have been advised to shield since the UK went into lockdown in March. Those deemed “extremely vulnerable” have mainly been confined to their homes, with food and medicine delivered to them.

Since the start of June, those shielding have been able to see one other person outside their household – as long as the interaction is outdoors and social distancing is maintained.
