Electoral Commission approves group's application ahead of European elections.
The Electoral Commission has approved The Independent Group’s application to become a political party.
The party – Change UK – has been registered in time for potential UK elections to the European Parliament, due to take place on 23rd May.
The groups is currently made up of 11 former Labour and Conservative MPs.
The commission also approved Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party.
